Gil: The most useful piece of kit I have so far is my Lightwriter as it provides me with a means of communication. It is of particular use when I'm with people who have difficulty understanding what I'm trying to say.. It displays text as I type and also has a playback feature which is quite handy if the text ihas gone beyond the screen display.

mike: I wonder what people think is the best tip or piece of kit they have found for retaining independence. I will start the ball rolling by suggesting my whole body hot air dryer which stands in the corner of the shower and cuts out the need for towels which I can no longer manipulate. Takes a bit longer but I am still able to handle all my personal hygiene
